Winemaker: Max Hoetzel of F2 Wines
"F2 is the brainchild of German-born writer Max Hoetzel, who in 2013 years ago found himself living amidst a vineyard in Santa Ynez. With the help of his mentor, winemaker Steve Clifton he started making exciting Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Sauvignon Blanc. With the philosophy, that great farming is the beginning of great wine, Max lets the fruit shine, keeping the winemaking process in the winery as minimal as possible."
Chef: Ryan Shepard
Ryan’s first taste of kitchen work was in 1997 as a dishwasher and busser at a small dinner in Boca Raton, Florida. At age 24 he earned his first Sous-Chef position at a small local restaurant in Winter Park, Florida, where he started to take food seriously, and committed to working with food as a career. His dream was to be a chef in San Francisco, which he accomplished in 2015 after many hard-working years in kitchens all over Orlando, San Diego; only to realize that he wanted more. In 2016, he found Dare 2 Dream Farms where he rediscovered his love for food from a farmer's perspective. With this fresh focus and new vision, he continued farming in South Florida and then became chef at two of Orlando's top Asian restaurants. In June of 2020, he decided it was time to come back to the place where his new vision for food started. At Dare 2 Dream Farms, he is the CSA and Market Manager, In-House Chef, and Food Blogger; bringing food into people’s homes, teaching them how to use it, and expressing his love for food in the kitchen for farm to table events. Ryan’s favorite style of cuisine is Asian Fusion, using French techniques and California farms' fresh ingredients.
